• The ‘Sabrina’ is a device which is rumored to be the successor of the Chromecast Ultra but the twist is that, it is expected to come with an Android TV software and a dedicated remote onboard. 

• There are rumors that Android TV dongle may launch under Google’s Nest branding and has been described as looking very similar to the current Google’s Chromecast device. 

• Stephen Hall from 9to5Google first revealed Google’s plans to launch a new streaming media device will come with the dedicated remote.

Expected lookout

• The upcoming TV dongle is said to be quite a large step as a replacement if the news leaks is correct. 

• The replacement of smartphone-controlled HDMI streaming dongle is said to be the new Android TV dongle codenamed ‘Sabrina’. 

• The shape of Sabrina can be described as an HDMI attached soapbar shaped Android TV dongle.

Expected Inclusion in Sabrina 

1. Sabrina will have apps and games included in it. 

2. It will be a closer rival to alternatives such as Amazon Fire TV and Roku TV dongles and boxes.

Design

• The design of Sabrina is said to be based on an Amlogic SoC. It will also support Dolby Vision. 

• The leak also includes an image of a remote for Sabrina which is an IR blaster equipped controller and it seems that there is a navigation wheel on top and it also includes UI navigation buttons like 

a. Back 

b. Home 

c. Next 

d. Volume adjustment. 

• There is also a Google Assistant button and it is said to include a mic for voice search and commands too.

Expected Price

• According to rumors, Nest Sabrina launch can be done later this summer and for remaining competitive it will likely be priced at US $80 or less.
